But Lucy favors Shane Holt and goes so far as to rob Jayce of everything he has in life. A heartbroken Jayce joins the government as a spy. Three years later, he returns as a hero. Lucy loses everything upon finding out the truth. She can only watch as Jayce marries Lily Kent while she lives out her life in eternal remorse and solitude.
